The Jaguar coffee table was designed and built at the Los Patos permaculture demonstration site in the rainforest mountains of San Vito, Costa Rica. Constructed using locally harvested bamboo, the project was guided by Nestor Padilla, who introduced bamboo-building techniques. To preserve the bamboo and protect it from mould, we charred it using a rocket stove that burns local wood—an eco-friendly alternative to petrol-powered torches. This sustainable method also created unique patterns and stains on the bamboo surface, adding an interesting natural detail to the piece.
